After many prayers and long family discussions, I believe that now is the time to move forward and have the real voice of our community heard in Columbia. Because I believe in the values and ideals of Horry County and because I feel that it takes strong leadership to ensure those values and ideals are represented, I have decided to run for the South Carolina House of Representatives – District 105.

I am running to be a voice for our businesses, schools, and families.

I want to be a voice for our local businesses. Over the years, I have seen the impact of high taxes and the cost of soaring insurance rates on local business owners. As a local attorney and business owner, I understand what can be done in Columbia to protect the interests of our locally owned businesses that are at the core of our community’s identity.

I want to be a voice for our schools. Education is the key to our local economic success. I will support legislation that promotes more technical, real world training in our public schools. I will also push legislation that requires a larger percentage of education funding to be spent directly in the classroom instead of in wasteful bureaucracy.

I want to be a voice for our families. I will work with state and local law enforcement to ensure they have the funding to keep our families safe from both the common criminal as well as unconventional predators such as those who use the internet to stalk our children. I will also support legislation that protects our conservative family values and strengthens the family unit.
